Same is the case with VTiger users as well, from invoices to the birthday wishes to you valued customer, everything can be sent to the recipient using the PDF templates. But, here comes a question that can a standard Vtiger functionality tracks a pdf templates? The answer is “No”. PDF templates shows the list of PDF templates that are sent from the VTiger CRM. It automatically generates a record whenever a pdf template is sent from the CRM
How VTExperts PDF template Tracker customization works
To understand the working of PDF template tracker lets take an example in which a user will send an invoice to the customer, using and pdf template and this customization will track this in form of a record
Step 1. Send a PDF template
Go to any module, from where you want to send a pdf template, in this example it is an invoice
By clicking on export to pdf following window will open. Select the template that you want to send in PDF template field, and specify the language of the pdf. In this example we will send the PDF through Send Email option
Upon hitting send Email button following window will pop up
Fill in the details and send the email. Now, the pdf template is being sent from the CRM.
Step 2. How to check PDF tracker records
To check the pdf tracker record, follow the below mentioned process
Go to CRM settings and then select the PDF tracker
It will show all the records of the past PDF templates sent out from the CRM
You can click on a PDF tracker record and check the other details as well, like Name, PDFtracker No, last modified by, created by etc.
