In real world business environment, working in groups is a key task. In fact, if we look at the job descriptions, it is specially mentioned that a person should be able to work in teams or groups. Why working in the groups is important for the organizations, let me quote a famous saying:
“The sum is always greater than the individual”
One of the most important benefits of working in teams is that people working together come with a diverse range of ideas. The productivity of groups is commonly greater than the individuals. Moreover, the element of learning and flexibility are clearly visible in the firms prefer to work together.
Working in Groups Using a CRM
When in real life business practices working in groups is so important and fruitful, imagine how crucial it is for CRM to allow working in groups. Let suppose you are working in a group, but your CRM do not facilitate teamwork, would you consider using such kind of CRM even for a minute? Deficiency of your CRM will force you to work as individuals.
But this is not the case these days. Groups are the most essential feature of any CRM. All top brands of the game including Zoho, Sugar, and VTiger support the feature. The aspect to be taken into consideration is how supportive and business oriented the design is. Let’s have a look at the how groups work in VTiger 7 CRM.
Groups in VTiger 7
Well, VTiger 7 understands this fact and provides the feature of working in groups. Instead of limiting your capability of working, like other CRM by not providing the feature of working in groups, VTiger 7 team working feature with its diverse functions acts as a catalyst in increasing productivity.
This feature of Vtiger 7 allows assigning a record to a number of people (group). Once the record is assigned to a group successfully every member can access the record.
Suppose Ned, Eric, Alisa and Damian work in a group and all of them are assigned to a single record using VTiger 7. One day because of illness Damian was unable to reach the office and because of his absence Ned, Eric and Alisa failed to work on the project because the task assigned to the Damian was a pre-requisite required to be fulfilled before other members can work on the project. In this case, you simply have to send an email to other members of the group using VTiger 7 and instruct any other members to take up the tasks assigned to the missing member.
Group Creation Criteria in VTiger 7
For the ease of the users, VTiger 7 provides four different criteria based on which a group can be created. VTiger 7 makes groups on the following basis
Users: you can add any member to the group using this criterion, it adds all the elected member into a group
Roles: This criterion allows you to add members to a group who share the same role. All the members who share a specified role and summed together in a single group.
Roles and Subordinate: In this feature, all the members who are related to a certain role and subordinates of that role are collected into one group.
Group: This feature helps to make a collection of different groups, it adds several groups top form a single group.
